Excir is a catalyst that unearths opportunities through scientific discoveries. Our Team at Excir is focused on advancing the development and understanding of ethical mining and refining of our world’s most precious metals.  Excir brings new light to responsibly monetizing age-old problems. We have pioneered an innovative technology that quickly, safely and selectively, extracts precious metals [specifically gold, platinum, and palladium] from substrates.  Our initial focus is on gold recovery from E-waste but, we intend to quickly leverage that success into the Mining and Spent Catalyst verticals.

Excir is in the research phase of the sustainable recovery of precious metal from mining concentrates.


We are in the early exploratory stages to better understand the potential impact our technology could have on the mining industry. Our end goal is to reduce the use of cyanide in the mining process.

Jim Fox

Chief Executive Officer & Director

Mr. Fox joined Excir and assumed the CEO role after spending the last 3 1/2 years at Oxford University. Jim holds an Executive MBA and a Post Graduate Masters Diploma in Global Business from the University of Oxford. He is also a graduate of Harvard's General Management Program. While at Oxford, he headed up Ethos Angel Investment Fund and prior to that spent 10 years at National Oilwell Varco, with his final role being the Vice President of Operations for Canada.

Stephen Foley, PhD

Director

Dr. Foley is one of the co-founders of Excir and has more than 20 years research experience in the general field of Inorganic Chemistry. Stephen has spent the last 12 years as a professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Saskatchewan. His recent research has focused on developing new extraction methods for recovery and purification of precious metals. Mr. Foley is one of the three main inventors of Excir's technology.
